Supervision

I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor.

I have been supervising Counsellors and Psychotherapists for over 17years in a variety of settings throughout my career including a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Unit, within the NHS and for those in Private Practice. I have a certificate in Clinical Supervision approved by the British Psychological Society.

I bring a flexible and understanding approach to my supervisory relationships offering a relaxed and supportive environment for Counsellors and Psychotherapists to explore the work they are doing with their clients. I am committed to supporting your ongoing development and learning as a practitioner.

I have a good understanding of students in placement needs as far as college expectations and reports are concerned.

I use Proctor's three function interactive model as the core approach to my Supervision work. The Normative, Formative and Restorative (management, learning and support) elements of this model ensure that each supervision session meets your specific needs. I compliment this with The 7 Eyed Supervision Model, helping us explore all areas of your work.

I was the Clinical Supervisor and part of the tutor team for CPCAB L4 Diploma in Counselling at a local college between 2012 and 2020.
